DNS_ERROR_DEFAULT_SCOPE
DNS_ERROR_DEFAULT_SCOPE means an operation expected a non-default policy scope but received the default one. The default scope represents the ordinary DNS behavior and is not interchangeable with an explicitly created alternate scope.
What to verify
- Check the exact scope argument and whether the requested policy action needs an alternate scope.
- Do not try to delete the default scope; use an explicit custom scope only where the policy design calls for one.
- Verify that default records remain available for clients that do not match a policy.
