STATUS_DEVICE_POWERED_OFF
The print device is not powered for communication
This status indicates that the printer or attached output device is powered off, rather than merely paused by the spooler. A network printer can produce an equivalent condition when its interface is down or a port monitor maps loss of device power to this warning.
Verify the physical device and its network or USB interface separately. A printer can be in power-save mode while still reachable, which is not the same condition. Repeatedly restarting the spooler does not restore electrical power, a disabled outlet, or a failed printer network adapter.
What to inspect
- Check device indicators, power source, cable or switch port, and printer web interface.
- Compare printer status with port-monitor and network reachability information.
- Resume queued jobs only after the device reports a ready or warming state.
