STATUS_CTX_INVALID_MODEMNAME
The configured modem name was not recognized
The status points to a mismatch between Terminal Services configuration and installed modem definitions. The modem name is a configuration token that must map to known initialization and dialing behavior.
This is separate from carrier or dial tone failures. The connection cannot reach the stage where the modem talks to a line if the server cannot resolve the configured modem definition.
What to inspect
- Compare the configured modem name with installed modem/TAPI entries.
- Check whether a modem driver package was removed or renamed.
- Validate that the connection path actually needs legacy modem support.
