STATUS_FVE_PROTECTION_DISABLED

The volume can remain encrypted while its protection status is off. In this state BitLocker has made the encryption key available in the clear so configured protectors are effectively bypassed; this is not the same as fully decrypting the volume.

Confirm the exact protection, conversion, lock, and key-protector states before taking action. manage-bde -status shows those fields, and manage-bde -protectors distinguishes disabling protection from deleting protectors.

Re-enable protection through the approved maintenance process once the reason for suspension has been resolved. Do not assume a successful unlock proves protection is active, and do not delete recovery protectors merely because the volume currently starts without a prompt.
