STORE_ERROR_PENDING_COM_TRANSACTION

A Store transaction is still pending

STORE_ERROR_PENDING_COM_TRANSACTION indicates that the licensing or commerce workflow has not reached a final committed state. Starting another conflicting operation can produce duplicate UI or inconsistent entitlement handling.

Recommended response

  • Wait for the active transaction callback or completion event.
  • Disable duplicate purchase or restore commands temporarily.
  • Persist a correlation identifier for diagnostics.
  • Apply a timeout that leads to state refresh, not an immediate second purchase.

Recovery

After interruption or restart, query the authoritative Store state before deciding whether to retry. A pending result does not prove success or failure.

State-machine requirement

Represent purchase, cancellation, and refresh as explicit asynchronous states. Buttons and background jobs should consult the same state so two interfaces cannot start competing transactions.

After a timeout

Do not assume failure and charge again. Refresh entitlement and transaction history first, then decide whether the original operation completed, remains pending, or can be safely retried.
