ERROR_LIBRARY_FULL
No slot is available inside the library
Robotic libraries need an empty destination slot when retracting an insert/eject port, dismounting media from a drive or accepting another cartridge. The library can have available drives yet still be full because every storage slot is occupied. InjectNtmsMedia specifically notes that media can remain in the port and an operator request can be posted when there are not enough slots.
Run an inventory to verify slot occupancy before moving cartridges manually. Eject or relocate media that is no longer required, then complete or restart the queued inject/dismount request. Do not assume a bar-code inventory alone proves every slot state if the changer reported an error; compare the RSM database with the hardware panel.
What to inspect
- Enumerate storage slots and identify the occupied media.
- Check whether media remains in the insert/eject port.
- Free a slot through a controlled eject or relocation operation.
