A cleaner-slot reservation already exists
RSM reserves a specific storage slot for cleaning media so data cartridges are not placed there and cleaning requests can locate the cleaner. Attempting to reserve another slot without releasing the existing reservation returns this state. It does not indicate that the cleaner cartridge itself is valid or still usable; it only describes the library configuration.
Read the library and slot objects to locate the current cleaner reservation. Reuse that slot when appropriate, or release it before assigning a different slot. Inventory the library if the database says a reservation exists but the physical cleaner location is uncertain.
What to inspect
- Locate the currently reserved cleaner-slot object.
- Verify whether the cleaner cartridge is actually in that slot.
- Release the old reservation before reserving a replacement slot.
