Use DNS Server events and the configured zone-file path to distinguish a missing file from access denial or storage failure. Repair file access first; editing records cannot help while the service cannot open the backing data.

- Verify that the configured zone file exists and can be read by the DNS Server service context.
- Check free storage, file-system errors, antivirus or backup locks, and recent changes to the DNS folder.
