MF_S_SEQUENCER_CONTEXT_CANCELED
MF_S_SEQUENCER_CONTEXT_CANCELED is documented for IMFSequencerSource::GetPresentationContext. That method maps a presentation descriptor to its sequencer element ID and the original topology supplied to AppendTopology; this success status specifically means the segment was canceled.
Do not treat the canceled presentation context as an active segment
- Check the HRESULT before using the returned segment ID or topology as current playlist state.
- Remember that
ppTopologycan also beNULLafter the sequencer source has switched to the next presentation. - When a topology is needed for the Media Session, call
IMFMediaSourceTopologyProvider::GetMediaSourceTopology; Microsoft warns not to queue the original topology returned byGetPresentationContext.
Because this is an MF_S_* status, generic SUCCEEDED(hr) handling is not enough when the application needs an active segment. Test the specific status and discard or reconcile the canceled playlist context.
