VDS_E_NOT_ENOUGH_SPACE
VDS_E_NOT_ENOUGH_SPACE means that the requested VDS operation cannot be completed with the currently usable capacity. The relevant space may be constrained by the selected disk, required extent layout, alignment, provider rules, or other volumes, rather than by total free bytes alone.
What to check
- Refresh the disk and volume layout and distinguish unallocated space from free space inside a file system.
- Check whether the operation requires contiguous capacity, a particular disk, or more than one available drive.
- Confirm that planned sizes include provider metadata, alignment, and any required reserve space.
