FSRM_E_FILE_MANAGEMENT_JOB_RMS
FSRM_E_FILE_MANAGEMENT_JOB_RMS is a job-level RMS protection failure after the file was selected for a file-management task. Possible layers include template resolution, protector availability, file-format support, current file state, and communication with the rights-management infrastructure.
Preserve the more specific protection evidence
- Check the job report and event log for a nested template, protector, access, or format error.
- Test the same file type and RMS template on a copy outside the continuous job.
- Verify that already protected or encrypted files are not being selected again unintentionally.
Do not interpret this aggregate HRESULT as proof that the classification rule was wrong. The file may have been selected correctly and failed only during protection. Keep protection actions idempotent, exclude unsupported extensions, and validate authorized opening after a successful test. Files protected by AD RMS are no longer available for content-based classification, so sequence classification before protection.
