FWP_E_DROP_NOICMP
FWP_E_DROP_NOICMP is a WFP classification result indicating that a packet should be dropped and that no ICMP response should be sent. It is not normally a policy-installation error.
How to investigate it
- Find the matching filter, layer, and provider that made the discard decision.
- Do not expect an ICMP unreachable message; packet traces may show a silent local drop instead.
- Use a short WFP capture or packet-loss trace while reproducing the specific traffic flow.
netsh wfp capture start cab=on file=C:\Temp\wfpdiag.cab
