D2DERR_BITMAP_BOUND_AS_TARGET
D2DERR_BITMAP_BOUND_AS_TARGET means that the bitmap is currently bound as the Direct2D rendering target and is also being used as a source in a draw operation. Direct2D does not allow that read/write feedback loop for the same bitmap.
What to check
- Use a separate source bitmap or an intermediate target for the operation.
- Unbind the bitmap as the target before using it as a source, when the sequence allows it.
- Design effects and compositing passes so reads and writes do not target the same bitmap simultaneously.
Copying through a distinct intermediate surface is the usual way to break the feedback loop.
