STATUS_CONNECTION_RESET
The peer or network reset the transport connection
A reset means an established transport path was forcibly broken. Correlate the reset with peer closure, local stack events, and the last successful send or receive rather than treating it as an initial-connect failure.
A reset is an abrupt connection termination. It often means the peer closed forcibly, a middlebox injected a reset, or the protocol state was no longer valid.
What to inspect
- Capture packets when possible to see whether a TCP RST was received.
- Check peer process crashes or service restarts.
- Distinguish reset from graceful disconnect and timeout.
