RPC_NT_DUPLICATE_ENDPOINT
The server tried to register an endpoint that already exists
RPC endpoints are network-specific addresses such as TCP ports, named-pipe names, or local RPC endpoints. This status means the endpoint registration collides with an existing endpoint for the chosen protocol sequence.
Diagnose the server registration path and endpoint mapper state. A dynamic endpoint avoids many collisions, while a well-known endpoint must be coordinated with other server instances and versions.
What to inspect
- Check whether another copy of the service is already registered.
- Use dynamic endpoints when a fixed endpoint is unnecessary.
- For well-known endpoints, verify protocol sequence and endpoint string, not only the port number.
