STATUS_GRAPHICS_FREQUENCYRANGE_ALREADY_IN_SET
Duplicate capability insertion
This status means the operation attempted to add a monitor frequency range that is already in the selected range set. It is not a report that the requested display mode is currently in use. The duplicate lies in the capability collection maintained for the monitor-mode context.
Look for repeat processing of the same EDID-derived range, duplicate merging of standard and detailed timing data, or an enumeration pass that appends instead of rebuilding state. A duplicate range can hide an underlying state-management mistake even when the resulting mode list appears harmless.
Keep capability enumeration deterministic
- Log normalized range boundaries and the source of each range before insertion.
- Clear or replace the temporary capability collection between enumeration passes when the interface contract requires it.
- Compare against
STATUS_GRAPHICS_FREQUENCYRANGE_NOT_IN_SET; the two statuses identify opposite membership failures.
