STATUS_GRAPHICS_OPM_OUTPUT_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_HDCP
STATUS_GRAPHICS_OPM_OUTPUT_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_HDCP is a capability result for one protected output. It is not a failed HDCP authentication and not necessarily an adapter-wide limitation: a graphics adapter can have several physical outputs with different connector and protection capabilities.
HDCP protects the link between a source and display device. OPM requires applications to determine what protection mechanisms each active video output supports before applying content-usage rules.
How to diagnose it correctly
- Query supported protection types for the exact output, then record the connector, sink, and active topology.
- Do not equate this with a bad cable until the output capability has been established; a topology or connector can legitimately lack HDCP support.
- Apply the content policy to every output that can display the protected video, not only to the primary screen.
