STATUS_GRAPHICS_OPM_OUTPUT_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_ACP
STATUS_GRAPHICS_OPM_OUTPUT_DOES_NOT_SUPPORT_ACP says that the selected output lacks Analog Copy Protection (ACP). ACP is a specific output-protection mechanism. It is not interchangeable with HDCP, so enabling or detecting HDCP on the same adapter does not satisfy a request for ACP.
OPM exposes multiple protection types because output technology and content rules can differ. Capability must be queried on the physical output that will actually carry the signal, rather than inferred from the operating system or a separate connector.
What this result rules out
- It is not a message-format or OMAC failure; the output is reporting a capability boundary.
- It does not mean the display has disconnected; that lifecycle case is reported by the protected-output-no-longer-exists status.
- Do not silently substitute a different protection type unless the content policy explicitly permits it.
