STATUS_FVE_WIPE_CANCEL_NOT_APPLICABLE
The cancellation request did not match an active free-space wipe. This is different from a failed encryption conversion: the status says that the specific wipe workflow is not currently running for the target volume.
Confirm the exact drive and inspect current BitLocker state before launching, cancelling, or diagnosing another operation. A prior wipe may already have completed, may have been requested for a different volume, or may never have started because the storage type did not support it.
Use the command documented for free-space wiping and treat its lifecycle independently from encryption and decryption. Cancelling an inactive operation does not alter protectors, lock state, or the encryption method of the volume.
