ERROR_GRAPHICS_INVALID_ACTIVE_REGION

ERROR_GRAPHICS_INVALID_ACTIVE_REGION (0xC026230B) identifies an invalid visible, or active, region in a video-signal timing. The active region is the part of each scan that carries picture data; it is not interchangeable with the total horizontal and vertical scan region.

Where it appears

Target modes use timing information to describe both visible pixels and blanking. An active width or height that is zero, inconsistent with the mode description, or outside the total timing envelope makes the signal description invalid before the driver can program the output.

Related status

ERROR_GRAPHICS_INVALID_TOTAL_REGION concerns the complete scan interval, including blanking. A valid active region does not prove that the corresponding total region is valid.
