E_IMAPI_DF2DATA_RECORDER_NOT_SUPPORTED

E_IMAPI_DF2DATA_RECORDER_NOT_SUPPORTED means the selected physical device cannot perform the operations required by IDiscFormat2Data. IMAPI separates drive support from media support: a recorder can be unsuitable for a format even before a particular stream is considered.

Test the recorder through the format-support API

Changing ISO contents or stream alignment does not add missing drive capabilities. This code also differs from invalid media state: the recorder itself does not satisfy the data-format requirements. Applications that enumerate recorders should filter or label devices using IMAPI support checks before presenting them as valid targets for a data burn.
