Filtering, convolution, morphology and geometric transforms often need pixels outside the source ROI. IPP represents that choice with a border mode such as constant, replicated, mirrored or in-memory border handling, depending on the function.
This status means the selected border mode is not legal for the primitive. It is not the same as a missing source pointer or a damaged image buffer.

- The border type enum and whether the called function supports it.
- Whether constant border values were supplied when the selected mode requires them.
- ROI placement: an in-memory border mode may require valid pixels around the ROI.
