ippStsAacPrgNumErr
This AAC status belongs to Program Config Element parsing. It is normally about the count of front, side, back, LFE, associated-data, or coupling elements declared for one program, not about the number of PCM output channels after decoding.
Check the AudioSpecificConfig or ADTS/container metadata against the in-band PCE. A mismatch between container channel configuration and the PCE can make the decoder reject the program before spectral data is useful.
Useful checks
- Whether channel configuration is zero and therefore a PCE is expected.
- The element counters and element tags inside the PCE.
- Whether the stream was cut before the complete PCE was available.
