A collection of components for the DirectShow multimedia framework (DS, DShow). Hereafter the DirectShow filters. The DS framework, as well as the API, was released by Microsoft in the early 2000s. The technology was developed to implement control of a wide range of audio / video I / O devices. The spectrum of these devices included IPs, webcams, DVDs, TV tuners, and others.
Until now, most Windows video and audio applications use this technology. A significant number of different filter collections have been released (eg K-Lite Codec Pack). There are also open source singular filters available on github. All of these DirectShow filters can be downloaded and registered using RegSvr32. As a result, they become available for Windows players and video editors.
Listed in this category are developed by and are the property of EfmSoft. Their binary versions are available for free download from our site in a demo version. Demo versions can be used in any product, including commercial ones. At the same time, demo versions of filters have a number of limitations. The limitations are listed on the description page for each DirectShow filter. In most cases, there is only one limitation – a process can create only one copy of the filter. This is sufficient for many tasks.
